The Friars Square Shopping Centre is the prime retailing scheme in Aylesbury. Anchored by a refurbished House of Fraser store, the 300,000 sq ft shopping centre underwent a multi-million pound transformation in 2013 attracting new H&M and Topshop stores and a new 20,000 Next store. Other new stores which have enhanced the transformed line-up further include Metro Bank, Office Shoes and The Entertainer in the new central square. Next is trading in the transformed central square with its new glazed and timbered pavilion which features thee new Topshop/Topman and also boats improved catering with BB’s joined by Caffé Nero and popular Noodle Bar on the exterior of the centre. As well as the new pavilion, mall finishes, new shop fronts and a full re-branding have all given Friars Square a sharper more attractive contemporary design.
